Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola of Spain paid tribute to his players following Saturday's 2-1 victory over Manchester United at Wembley in the FA Cup final.
"We can now talk about the trilogy, of course we still have to win the Champions League, we have done well for our city and our fans," Guardiola said, in remarks to BBC after the game.
He added: "Manchester United relied on a man-to-man method, and we didn't expect them to defend that way, and we found more spaces in the second half. Winning was very important to us."
He continued: "The FA Cup is so great.. Tomorrow and the next day we will get rest, then we have 3 or 4 training sessions before we face Inter, and we will travel to Istanbul on Thursday morning after training."
He continued: "I am a Barcelona fan, but I will love this club (Manchester City) all my life. I know today we gave our fans a good gift to enjoy against our neighbours."
Regarding Gundogan's brilliance, he said: "What a season Elkay has had, he has great skills and great mentality, he plays big games well, and he can handle pressure extraordinarily."
Regarding John Stones and his involvement in the middle of the pitch, he said: "He played well recently and in an unusual position for him... Stones has great quality in passing the ball."
Manchester City are set to face Inter Milan next Saturday in the Champions League final.
